| CDR Peter "Pete" A. Tufo USN (Ret.), of Vienna, VA on Friday, March 4, 2011 at his residence. Beloved husband of Georgene C. Tufo; loving father of Jean Marie Caffery (George) of Wilton, CT and Peter A. Tufo of Boca Raton, FL; brother of Joan Schwartz (Robert) of Long Island, NY and the late Daniel Tufo (Patricia) of Long Island, NY; and adored grandfather of Andrew, Sarah, and David Caffery. Pete was an Aviator in both the Korean and Vietnam Wars as well as decorated by both the Navy and the Air Force. He was an avid gardner and baker extraordinaire. He was a wonderful friend and will be greatly missed by all who had the good fortune to know him. Inurnment will be held at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society. |
