BENJAMIN W. TAYLOR 6/26/28-3/2/10. Born in Athens, TX to Fon & Paralee. Athens HS class of 45, U of OK class of 59. Naval officer/pilot. 2 tours as Admiral's pilot, made 50 landings at South Pole. Was 1st non-stop flight Australia to South Pole. Survived by wife, Sue, 2 children (Ben Jr & Cindy), 5 grand-, 2 great-grandchildren, sister Jerelyn. Memorial service 3/8/10 @ 1:00 pm in chapel National Cemetery on Vet. Mem. Dr., Houston.
