Do You Have A Story To Tell For Inclusion in the

   Combat Aviation Midshipmen Study?

Currently the Combat AvMidn Study is resulting in a document of historical data to prove the Candidates identified did fly in combat operations while Midshipmen. This is resulting in a pretty sterile collection of facts that in many ways misses who we AvMidn were. This can be rectified this by including stories of the many joyous, frightening, interesting, near unbelievable, and humorous events we experienced while AvMidn in Flight Training and initial Squadron duty.
Therefore, the Study Committee is expanding the scope of the study to include these type stories, and is requesting inputs from All AvMidn. We all have many personal stories that would be most interesting to a future reader (maybe your great great grandchild), and are asking you to write them down for inclusion in the Study. There is no limit to the number of submissions. Each story should be personal (first hand), typed smooth, with a reasonable #12-size Font type, and limited to one page in length, with your name and Pre Flight Class at the end. Please US Mail the submissions or Email, as an Attachment, to the address below.
The AvMidn Program has an important legacy, which should be preserved. A good way to accomplish this is to record all those interesting stories by the AvMidn who experienced them. Future generations will then have a better understanding of who these 19-21 year-old “Tigers” were.
Please participate. Your story in important and will be preserved in this historical Study.
