Alexander Blake (AB) Wilson, was my good buddy and we were on two VC33 night Abledog cruises in 52 and 53. AB was a FM in PF 13- 48
After he retired as Captain USN, he became a super-expert wood carver, second to none.
The exquisite life-like Gamble Quail he carved and gave me, was put by a window. Soon after, the hummer seen below came to say hello to Mr. G. Quail.
Picture was taken 16 October 2004 and ten months later, after we had just moved back to NO, AB and Harriet graciously took us in and for ten days, when Katrina hit.
