I regret to inform all FMA'ers of the death of CDR Bob Notz, on 18 June, 2009, at Bull Shoals Lake, Arkansas. A memorial service will be held at the Barrancas National Cemetery, Columbarium, Friday, November 27, 2009, at 9:30 AM. Bob was Regimental Commander of Preflight Class 13-48, He was assigned to VA-195 at NAS Alameda, & went to Korea, with CVG-19 in the USS Princeton, CV-37. He earned the Distinguished Flying Cross & 5 Air Medals while making two combat tours to Korea in 1951 & 1952. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Barbara A. Notz, two sons; Karl (Terri) & Eric(Barbara); three grandchildren; Ashley, Justin, & Keith; and a great Granddaughter, Caeley, a Sister-in-law, Judith Embree, & family in Iowa, Uncle Glen, and five cousins, Janice, Linda, Donna, Larry & Becky.
