RICHARD E. DAVIS
Richard Eugene Davis passed away on November 29, 2007, with his family at his side. He was 79.
Richard was born in Grand Rapids, Mich., was a longtime resident of McKinleyville, CA. He was a navigator and
pilot of helicopters and sea planes in the U.S. Navy. Richard was also a FAA air control specialist. He contributed to
Boy Scouts of America, participated in Tai Chi and was an avid member of the Redwood Gun Club. He was also a
trustee in the Methodist church in Arcata, CA, and enjoyed going to the movies with his friend Joyce.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Davis and his son, John Fredrick.
He is survived by his daughter, Pamela Jackson of Bonney Lake, WA; and sons, Ric and his wife Karen of
Charleston, South Carolina, Mark and his wife Janna of Ukiah, and Douglas and his spousal equivalent Debbie of
McKinleyville. He is also survived by his sister, Barbara Juelle; grandchildren, Dawn Davis, Chinell Davis, Noël
Davis, William O’Brien, Erika Hernandez and Mathew O’Brien; great-grandchildren, Kayla Baker, Bailey O’Brien,
Sean O’Brien, Julianna Brown, Rory Hernandez, Seth O’Brien and Austin O’Brien; niece, Kimberley Townsend; and
nephew, Richard Myer.
