Herb- I'm saddened to inform you that I have just been advised that long-time Aviation Midshipman friend Charles C. OReilly passed away yesterday(8/14/08) due to cancer. Charlie was Class 16D-47 and was designated a Naval Aviator on 7 July 1949. Charlie had a Korean tour, was a Gunnery instructor at Pensacola followed by several other assignments and ended his career as a missile test pilot at the Pacific Missile Test Center,Point Mugu,CA in the late 1960's. He retired in the grade of Commander. He leaves his wife Joan, two daughters, a son(he also had a deceased son) and several grandchildren. His address is 395 Avocado Place,Camarillo,CA. 93010-8498.
