84, passed away December 8, 2011, at home in Newport Beach, CA. Paul John Bergdahl was born September 16, 1927. He grew up on a large farm in Skandia, Michigan. In 1944, he enlisted in the Navy. Paul flew in the Korean War and remained in the Navy Reserves where he retired after 28 years of service. In 1953, he was hired by Trans World Airlines (TWA). He retired on his 40th anniversary after a distinguished career traveling the world. 

Paul married Marlene Schaefer, a TWA hostess, in 1954. They spent 10 years in Illinois before moving to California in 1963. He resided in Newport Beach, California with his wife and six daughters for the past 47 years. Paul is survived by his wife, Marlene Bergdahl; daughters: Greta Walker (Mark) Kula, HI, Marta Finley (Anton) Kailua Kona, HI, Anita Long, Newport Beach, CA, Loreta Van Steenhuyse (Dave) Coto de Caza, CA, Aleta Haase (Harold) Newport Beach, CA, and Senta Chadwick, Irvine, CA; brothers: Charles Bergdahl, Skandia, Ml and John Bergdahl, Harsens Island, Ml., along with 12 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
